High Country has been played on NTS shows including The Cosmic Principle w/ Nick Mitchell Maiato, with Big River first played on 29 October 2017.

High Country is a local San Francisco Bay Area bluegrass band. Butch Waller is the founding member of the band,Back in the late '60's David Nelson would sometimes play guitar for the band, and Jerry Garcia sat in on banjo one or two performances.
