Performing live very rarely - even then only acoustically - Love Spirals Downwards hybrid dreamscapes are a revelation of studio experimentation. Multi-instrumentalist and producer Ryan Lum and then girlfriend Suzanne Perry released a series of projects in the 1990s, melding dream pop, East Indian music, psychedelic rock, and ethereal ambient sounds, and fused processed and acoustic recording methods, creating a sound that feels relevant decades later. Deep Space Organisms (Deep Space Recordings/Within Records)
Torquay-based Deep Space Organisms - aka Andy Pitman and Simon Huxtable - have been making some of the most inspired melodic trance since the inception of their well-renowned label Deep Space Recordings.
They were catapulted into the spotlight in the progressive scene when John Digweed played six of their tracks back-to-back on his KissFM Bedrock show. They have since been asked to remix tracks for Digweed's Bedrock Black label and to record a guest mix for his KissFM show.
Forthcoming dj spots include the top London night Deeper Substance and other guest spots around the UK.
Their recent singles "Bass Oxygen" and "Vaporised" are amazing slices of dreamy, melodic, immaculately produced trance which were huge for the big progressive djs, topping the charts of Danny Howells, Sasha and Anthony Pappa for months… no wonder Deep Space Organisms have been described as "the future of progressive house".
