Mitzi

Mitzi has been played on NTS shows including BORN N BREAD, with Who Will Love You Now first played on 30 December 2017.

Mitzi, the guise of Dominiqe Bird, Jad Lee, Charles Murdoch and Cale Suesskow in what first seemed to be an unusual collaboration, has taken form, developing a recognisable sound.

After playing in various accomplished bands such as BMX (2009 unearthed Parklife winners), Comic Sans (2010 unearthed St.Jeromes Laneway winners), Charlie Why! (Bang Gang 12 inches) and The Gallery Kiss, the four have brought their own unique traits to the table, creating a sound that is smooth, warm and full.

Mitzi comply with a classic pop sensibility. Entwined by a backdrop of moving disco beats, syncopated guitar and capturing bass grooves lies the Mitzi sound, smooth, laidback vocals and a vintage analog warmth. Mitzi recently released their debut ‘All I Heard’ EP through Sydney label Future Classic. They have played both the Parklife and Stereosonic music festivals as well as supported the likes of Metronomy (UK), Neon Indian (USA), Little Dragon (Sweden), Bag Raiders, and newly hyped Modular signing The Swiss.
