Resistance was a French coldwave band. Resistance is before everything else Eric Ferrand, author, composer, he records his first album, "Between Two Lights", released on vinyl in 1986. Before there will have been Jeune France, another ephemeral band, after will follow two albums, "100 Lives" (1988) and "8" (1990) before a musical pause that will only be stopped with a side project, solo and very different, "L'Oreille Interne" melting psychiatric hospital interviews recordings with minimal music.

1998 : Birth of the band RÉSISTANCE in Strasbourg, Alsace. 2005 : After the usual evolutions and changes, the band line-up consists of the two founding members Joël (guitars) and Florian (bass/backing vocals), and the two remaining bastards Marc (drums) and Nathaniel (vocals). 2006 : Recorded in 3 days, the first RÉSISTANCE demo appears to the metal world at the end of december. 8 tracks for a great headbanging session with a beer in your hand. 2007: The first album is recorded mixed and mastered… It is to be released in january 2008 under the banner of EMANES METAL RECORDS. Expect a powerful moment of trashing madness, including a MANILLA ROAD cover 'Necroplis' thanks to the gentle authorization of Mark 'the Shark' Shelton in person… The band withdraws its inspiration from many 80's metal acts ranged from heavy metal to thrash metal, as well as from a couple of 70's rockers. RÉSISTANCE tries to know its musical roots in order to mix them up and to give something fresh yet crafted in a strong metallic tradition. If you like it epic and aggressive, RÉSISTANCE is for You!
