Reknowned for his jazz adventures from Patagonia to Lapland, Vancouver to Hong Kong. Founded SLAM CD label 1989.

Worked with Mal Waldron, Steve Lacy, Borah Bergman, Charlie Mariano, Bobby Carcasses, Evan Parker, Lol Coxhill, Paul Rutherford, Elton Dean, Joachim Kuhn, Howard Riley, Laszlo Gardony, Arturo Sandoval etc.

Haslam's international tours have taken in Argentina, USA, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, China, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Mexico, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Yugoslavia ~ including some of the world's most important Jazz Festivals in Havana, Buenos Aires, Prague, Hong Kong, Guanajuato, Kiev, Budapest and across Finland.

Back home in the UK he has made several broadcasts for national radio BBC and many local radio and TV spots. Across the country he has played most major jazz venues and many festivals including London, Glasgow, Belfast, Oxford, Bracknell, Marlborough, WOMAD etc.
