The Younger Generation has been played on NTS shows including Gilded Sound Reflection, with We Rap More Mellow (Maxi Version) first played on 17 April 2015.

The Younger Generation was the name used by The Furious Five on the single "We Rap More Mellow", released in 1979 on Brass Records. Released before Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five had their commercial breakthrough, the track didn't feature the production talents of Grandmaster Flash and had a funk/disco backing track courtesy of producer Terry Lewis instead.
