Eliana Pittman (born in Rio de Janeiro - Aug 14, 1945 -as Eliana Leite da Silva), daughter of the great american saxophonist Brooker Pittman, is a diva of the brazilian music. Hers career started with 15 y.o. singing to the side of the father. Moving to USA, made shows coast-to-coast, courses with masters of the show business as Fred Steal, lessons of dance with Sammy Davis, Jr., presentations in the television with Jack Parr, one of the biggest presenters of the American NBC. Had recorded, to the side of Booker Pittman, one of first records of bossa nova - "New Sound Brazil New Bossa". Through Jack Parr, it was contracted by the artistic agency William Morris and the Playboy Club. Recognized for the critical one and applauded for the North American public, after shows individual in 28 North American states, it returned to Brazil, changedding itself into one of the biggest surprises of the MPB, beyond a type of only interpreter, in the country, of American music. Eliana descends of a noble ancestry of North American afro-americans. Its great-grandfather (grandfather of its father) was Booker T. Washington, founder of the appraised Tuskegee Institute, the first university for blacks in the United States.
