Reggie Knighton

Reggie Knighton has been played on NTS in shows including Got Kinda Lost Records Presents Planet Fever, featured first on 4 April 2018. Songs played include Glows In The Dark.

After leaving The Grass Roots in 1976 Reggie Knighton inked a solo deal with CBS Records. His debut album, entitled REGGIE KNIGHTON, hit the shelves in 1977. This 10 song disc juxtaposed catchy pop melodies (such as Drug Dealer and Girl From Pluto) with some far out lyrical storytelling. In 1978, Reggie released his sophomore effort, THE REGGIE KNIGHTON BAND, and used his touring band rather than studio musicians to record his songs. Producer Roy Thomas Baker was recruited to oversee the sessions. The line-up on the record is Reggie Knighton (vocals/guitar), Brian Ray (guitar), Glenn Symmonds (drums) and Kurtis Teel (bass). This album was certainly more of a straight-ahead rock record than the debut, but the lyrical content was still purely original Reggie. Songs such as Rock 'N' Roll Alien and Clone In Love can attest to that. In support of the record the band went out on tour with 10cc. In 1981 Reggie resurfacerd as a member of Mark Saffan And The Keepers on their selftitled album.
