The Surfers has been played on NTS in shows including Lavender Kite Audio Research Hour w/ Barnaby Bennett, featured first on 5 April 2018. Songs played include Hula Eyes, Shells and Ke Kali Nei Au.

There are at least 3 bands who used the name "The Surfers":

1) A Dutch group formed in 1978 specifically for the song Windsurfin' to cash in on the windsurfing craze of that period. The studio recording was recorded by Breeze and The Internationals. Live performances were done by a different group fronted by Nico Fountain of Zaan Dijker.
