Magpahi has been played on NTS shows including Fractal Meat On A Spongy Bone, with The Hawthorn Heart first played on 25 October 2016.

Magpahi is the experimental folk project of Alison Cooper. She used to be one of the plants from Samandtheplants.

"Cooper makes good use of a range of instruments, from guitar to organ via piano and flute to create stripped-down, folky vignettes of strange habits, notably using her voice to abstractly hint at higher powers, as if she is immersed in a primeval choir that has somehow been beamed into the 21st century.
