Vikki Love

Profile: Singer

Nuance was a dance\freestyle\R&B band formed by producer\arranger, Ron Dean Miller and featured vocalist Vikki Love. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to 4th & Broadway Records.

Their first single, “Take a Chance” peaked at #23 on Billboard’s Black Singles chart in 1984, staying on the chart for 23 weeks.

In 1985, they released their debut album, “Sing, Sing, Dance, Rap, Romance.” It’s unknown how or if the album charted.

The second single from the album, “Loveride” topped Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart for a week in January of 1985 and #34 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 14 weeks. It also peaked at #59 on the U.K. Singles chart.

The last single, “Stop Playing on Me” peaked at #14 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart in November of 1985 and #36 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 12 weeks.

The title song was released as a single, but didn’t chart. After that, it seems as if Nuance & Vikki Love have faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.
