On 9 May 2015, Black Merlin was a guest on Bahamian Moor; and on 9 February 2013 was a guest on Bahamian Moor. Black Merlin has been played on NTS over 140 times, featured on 136 episodes and was first played on 22 July 2014.

Black Merlin is the solo project of George Thompson (Spectral Empire, Karamika). After 8 EPs he released his debut album Hipnotik Tradisi in 2016, which combines various styles such ambient, minimal electronica, and (field recordings of) Indonesian gamelan.
