One of the many alter egos of sound artist & musician Jim Welton. Played bass in post-punk band The Homosexuals, which he left in 1979. Had an ultra prolific period in the early 80's releasing music ranging from lo-fi tape experiments, cut-ups / sound collage to scratchy post-punk on his label It's War Boys. During this period, recorded solo as L. Voag, Narki Brillans, Amos, in duos Amos & Sara, Sara Goes Pop, and as member of Nancy Sesay And The Melodaires, The Just Measurers, Milk From Cheltenham, Vic Serf & The Villains, The Fear Merchants. Not an exhaustive list BTW. Played bass (as Xentos) in The Work for one tour of Japan and guested on releases by Bing Selfish a.o.
Resurfaced in the 90's as member of Die Trip Computer Die under alias Xentos 'Fray' Bentos (variations include Xentos Jones). Had a now defunct weekly radio show on Resonance FM as Harmon e. Phraysier. Currently performing as part of Resonance FM Orchestra and in duos with Lukas Simonis, Chris Weaver a.o.
Was the subject of 2003 film documentary by Luke Fowler & Kosten Koper.
