Michel Sanchez was born on 1st July 1957 in Somain, northern France. He was studing music at the academy (piano, classical organ, percussion). In the early 90s he mixed his synths an old tradicional song from Salomon Islands and this has been the starting point of Deep Forest. Their sound has been described as an “ethno-introspective ambient world music”.
