Voyeur

On 2 December 2024, Voyeur was a guest on Temporal Cove w/ Smilegoth. Voyeur has been played on NTS shows including Moxie , with Blame It On The Youth (Kerri Chandler Club Mix) first played on 22 November 2013.

1) Voyeur is a hard rock/glam metal band from San Francisco, California, USA.

Line-up Daren Richards - Vocals Steve Roney - Guitars John Reed - Guitars Dan Rankin - Bass Steve Fletcher - Drums

The band was formed in San Francisco, USA and was mainly active in the Bay Area at the end of the 80s and tried to make a name for themselves from there and get a record deal with a major label. Despite the best efforts and slots in the opening act for better-known bands like Babylon A.D. and Vain, in the end it was just an attempt. At the beginning of the 90s, when the grunge wave was slowly taking its destructive course, Voyeur was over.

With a little more luck, they could have made a breakthrough. Singer Daren Richards has a distinctive vocal that is slightly reminiscent of Stevie Rachelle from Tuff and the boys' music sounds like a mixture of Tesla, Babylon A.D. and Bon Jovi.

The production of "Spank Or Be Spanked" is also more than okay considering that these are old remastered recordings. But in that respect you are almost never disappointed with Suncity Records anyway. Hair metal nostalgic hard rockers can definitely listen to this without hesitation!

2) American heavy metal band from Mansfield, Connecticut active in the mid 1980s.

3) The foursome from New York, made up of guitarist-songwriter Jake Lazovick, singer-guitarist Sharleen Chidiac, drummer Max Freedberg, and bassist Isaac Eiger, are emblematic of the city’s current so-called “rock revival.” But while their sound is packed with whispers of Nirvana, Sonic Youth, the Velvets — it doesn’t lean “nostalgic.”
