SCNTST, born in 1993, is a German electronic music producer and DJ from a village near Munich. Known for his work in techno, he began exploring music at a young age, supported by his musically inclined family. He played drums in his father's band and performed in a musical at age 10. His interest in electronic music began around 2010, inspired by a German film about techno. Teaching himself music production with Ableton Live, he quickly developed a distinctive style.

Early in his career, he collaborated with fellow producer Etnik and released music on a small American label. His initial performances took place at school events and private gatherings, and over time his musical direction shifted from electro to more refined techno. His work gained attention on SoundCloud, and he was influenced by artists and labels such as Boys Noize, Tiga, Warp Records, and hip hop acts like Tyler, the Creator. Known for experimental production methods, such as using samples from a video camera, SCNTST remained committed to developing his own sound.

His music caught the attention of Boys Noize through online recommendations, leading to his connection with Boysnoize Records. Despite having little exposure to club culture, SCNTST joined the label and prepared to release his first EP on Boysnoize Records titled "Monday".
