Something Different has been played on NTS in shows including God's Waiting Room w/ David Holmes, featured first on 9 September 2018. Songs played include Woman Of Salem, Women Power and Growing Pain.

Something Different mixes improvisational grooves, funk, rock, jazz, world beat and psychedelic jams to create their "far-out" California sound.

The band was founded in 1997 by twin brothers, Ryan (guitar) and Erin Cassidy (drums) along with bass player Kevin Kotaka and Mark on percussion. During the first two years as a band, the guys attended Humboldt State University while performing at local bars, clubs and festivals.
