Cholita Sound has been played on NTS shows including Tomasa Del Real, with Perreo Mistico first played on 10 October 2018.

Chilean artist Caterina Purdy started Cholita Sound in 2011. Previously she had releases under the name of Purdy Rocks. Her music and aesthetics are an unique mix of Andean, Urban Reggaeton and New Wave electro.
