Stefan Tiedje is a German musician born in Stuttgard in 1956. He studied physics, electrical engeneering and acoustics in Marburg and Berlin. In 1984 he started to work on algorithmic composition by programming computers. In 1986 he began live improvisations with computer controlled sound sources and effects.
