Belgian guitarist GILBERT ISBIN's early influences, from classical, to folk, jazz, blues, ethnic and freeform music, has ultimately contributed to his now distinctive and refined style. His music transcends the dualities of classical/jazz and composed/improvised music and is filled with strong melodies, rich colourful harmonies, sound effects and polyrhythms, highlighted by his delicate acoustic guitar picking.

He performs solo, in duo with Iep Fourier, with Jeff Gauthier, with Joe Fonda, with guitarist Sandro Di Stefano, in trio with Sandor Szabo and Major Balazs and with the Gilbert Isbin Group

Gilbert Isbin has recorded thus far 16 albums, which have been highly acclaimed by the international musicpress and are worldwide distributed.

He played concerts all over Europe and in Los Angeles (USA) and has collaborated and/or recorded with American and European players, such as Cameron Brown, Joe Fonda, Jeff Gauthier, Ernst Reijseger, Jan Kuijken, Michel Godard, Jaap Blonk, Fred Van Hove, John Ruocco, Steve Houben, , Rudy de Sutter, Sandor Szabo, Philippe Deschepper,Iain Cameron, Paul Wheeler, Geert Verbeke, André Goudbeek, Pierre Vaiana, Iep Fourrier, Chris Joris, Jatinder Thakur, Hugh Hopper (ex - Soft Machine), Wolfgang Reisinger, Davey Graham, Sandro di Stefano, …
