András Mihály (* November 6 1917 in Budapest , † September 19 1993 ) was a Hungarian composer.

Mihály studied at the Academy of Music in Budapest Leó Weiner , Pál Kadosa and Imre Waldbauer . From 1946 he was principal cellist at the Staatsoper, from 1950 he was professor of chamber music at the Music Academy. In 1967 he founded the Hungarian Chamber Ensemble, the care of the garde music devoted.

Mihály composed an opera (Együtt és egyedül: Combine and alone, 1966), three symphonies , a cello, a violin and a piano concerto, a fantasy for winds and orchestra, chamber music works, piano pieces, choral music and songs.
