Sharkula

Sharkula has been played on NTS in shows including Angel Bat Dawid, featured first on 19 March 2019. Songs played include Salads Are Tasty and Hitchhiking On The Mic Device.

Sharkula (aka Mr Diffy aka Dirty Gilligan aka Thigahmahjiggee) was born with the name Brian Wharton and is a long-time veteran of the Chicago hip-hop scene, working since 1992 with everyone from the Molemen to Pigface. His latest album "The Diagnosis of Sharkula" is his second full-length collaboration with producer Roburt Reynolds Wrap. The previous CD the two worked together on was "Martin Luther King Jr Whopper With Cheese" under his old alias Thig, which received many positive reviews when it was released in 2004. Like many of his releases, MLKJWWC was sold almost exclusively on the streets of Chicago through the hand-to-hand marketing of Sharkula on "the El", Chicago's elevated train system, and the streets of Chicago's many neighborhoods. Sharkula has also made a big splash with his viral videos on You Tube, and recent comparisons by local newspapers to Wesley Willis, which, other than implications of pure insanity is completely ridiculous.

OR

Sharkula is a postpunk noise duo out of Philadelphia. Their Robin Williams concept album is free at Sharkula.Bandcamp.com.
