A group created in Livorno (northern Tuscany) by five friends in the year 1964, their first name was The Crickets. As with many other groups, the first activity of I Satelliti was in the dance halls, mainly in Tuscany. During a concert in Certaldo (a small town near Florence) they had the opportunity to perform their set soon after Ricky Gianco, one of the first Italian rockers, and at that time still famous (he became during the sixties and afterwards an appreciated songwriter).
