Leaf Label A&R and Odda Recordings label owner Thea HD unearths the lesser known common sounds. from old soundtracks, library music to experimental electronic music…
Toi - is a word meaning a celebration in Kyrgyz, but it's a bit more than that. It's a party in a Kyrgyz sense. Always packed with dancing, singing, happiness and joy. It's a reason for all of friends, relatives and family to reconnect and celebrate together. There are many different Tois. It's our national custom, a whole ritual and a fundamental part of our culture. And music is an essential part of almost every Kyrgyz Toi. This mix is a collection of classic records from all over the Central Asia and beyond that spun through time and cemented themselves as Toi staples. You can hear them at any given Toi in Kyrgyzstan. Between the meals there is always a musical pause. In the rural regions now and everywhere back in the day no one cared about the sound system or the quality of the records. You can hear the soul the happiness in the records and the atmosphere itself. For me it's a nostalgia mixed with joy. A lot of very memorable and important events in my life are associated with these tunes. So coming back to them is like a wave of nostalgia bundled with joy. And I think you can hear it in the music. So enjoy!

There are multiple artists under the name of The Shy Guys:
1) A Orange County based EDM band. 2) A Michigan based 60's garage rock band.
1) On August 23th in the year 2013, a duo originating from the City of Angels assembled and decided to journey towards the awakening of a new sound. They venture to many stages readily equipped with the love of music and the energy and atmosphere of EDM. Humbly armed with their arts in mixing, producing, performing, and visual artistry, they lead the masses into distant worlds through the hype.
Members : Chris - Producer/DJ Keith - Producer/Keyboardist
Discography : 2014 : First Attempt
2) Oak Park, Michigan rockers the Shy Guys made a regional splash in 1966 with their fan-favorite single "We Gotta Go." Comprised of singers/guitarists
Ron Nelson and Stu Howard, bassist Marty Lewis and drummer Mark Finn, the group began their career covering contemporary hits by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys, and at the peak of their popularity opened local appearances by the Dave Clark Five and Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs; they made their recorded debut with "We Gotta Go," a hit not only in southeastern Michigan but also Buffalo, New York, where it was played regularly by DJ Scotty Regan upon his relocation from Detroit. The Shy Guys soon resurfaced with a cover of the Byrds' "Feel a Whole Lot Better," but when it failed to match the success of their debut the group's career stalled, and a pair of subsequent singles -- "Love So True" and "About You" -- went unreleased. The band dissolved soon after. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
