The Calico Kids has been played on NTS in shows including Country Hayride, featured first on 3 May 2020. Songs played include Country Style.

The Calico Kids formed when Jeffrey Murray took his songs from Sacramento to a small college in sunny San Diego. There, he began meeting other musicians around the campus, and the band slowly formed into it's current lineup

In 2011, the band began branching out from only university shows and began playing shows in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Along with shows in local bars, clubs and coffee houses, The Calico Kids recently finished their first full length album and is in the process of releasing it.
