Radioactive Sago Project

Radioactive Sago Project

Radioactive Sago Project has been played on NTS shows including Manila Times w/ Vex Ruffin & Possiblemusic, with Alak, Sugal, Kape, Babae, Kabaong first played on 8 August 2020.

This much talked-about group plays a critically-acclaimed melange of spoken word poetry, Jazz, punk, soul, afro-latin, metal, and a mad sundry of musical styles sprinkled with massive doses of humor and irony. The groups's perennially surprising stylistic excursions have earned them a cult following, from critics to art fans, to discerning rock audiences.

Fronted by four-time Palanca Award-winning writer Lourd De Veyra with alumni from the UP College of Music completing the 8-piece ensemble, this group made waves with their 2000-released self-titled debut album which spawned the hit Gusto Ko ng Baboy. Their recently released 2nd album Urban Gulaman under independent label Terno Recordings jumped to Tower Tecords' list of top-sellers in its first week out in the market and includes the track Astro, winner of MTV's most stylish video award and NU Rock Awards' Rock Video of the Year.

Their third album entitled "Tangina Mo Andaming Nagugutom Sa Mundo Fashionista Ka Pa Rin" was released in early 2007 under Terno Recordings. The group claims that despite what the album title states, they hold no grudges against the so-called fashionistas.
