WRITER REVIEWS: "Aphonia released the EP Janus Geminus in 2007 with producer/engineer Jesse Cannon (Head Automatica, Lifetime, The Cure". After a year of promoting, drafting bassists and gathering hands at local/out of state venues, Aphonia started writing new material for the upcoming 2008 Release "Tidals".

The record name came from the band accomplishing to compose the sound of water-like melodies morphing into powerful tidal waves of raw emotion destroying everything it encounters. Tidals delivers a massive blow to the listeners ears while entertainingly keeping a dancy rhythmic bop throughout each song."
