Sancocho has been played on NTS in shows including Hipsters Don't Dance, featured first on 25 September 2020. Songs played include Tumba La Casa and Pon Me Lo AhÍ.

There are two music groups who use the name Sancocho:

1) A salsa band from Miami who recorded at least two albums; "Fiesta En El Solar" (1979) and Guajiras y Sones (1980).

2) A merengue group most widely known for their hit "Se Parece A Ti."
