NTS x UGG Golden Sounds
Join NTS on Saturday 17th May, as we take over the UGG Golden Sounds space at Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane, with a full day of soundscapes, talks and DJ sets from morning until night. Check out the full programming and find the free RSVP below:
Morning Rise - 10-11am - Selassie TBC will open the day with an NTS Breakfast Show-inspired DJ set live from the Golden Sounds event space, soundtracking people grabbing coffees and pastries.
Golden Discs - 1-2:30pm - The UGG spin on Desert Island Discs! Host Tone will chat with Goya Gumbani about his 8 favourite ‘golden discs’ and why these songs inspire him.
A Beginner’s Guide to Building a Soundsystem - 3:30-5pm - NTS invites Cafe 1001’s soundsystem consultant Shivas Howard Brown for an in-depthconversation with his close collaborator, friend and NTS host Errol to educate our audience in bespoke Soundsystem building and talking through his personal journey to becoming an expert in his craft.
Golden Hour Listening Experience - 6-7pm - As day turns to night, NTS invites Alex Rita to host a specially crafted listening experience during the ‘golden hour’, creating an audio soundscape for guests to sit back and enjoy.
Club 1001 - 7-12am - Celebrating a day filled with music, NTS will close their takeover with Club 1001 featuring a live performance from Dexter in the Newsagent and DJ sets from m00dtapes, Oakland & Ruby Savage.
