Recorded Live at Bourse de Commerce w/ On Kawara, One Million Years (Future)

In October 2025, the Bourse de Commerce presents One Million Years Reading (Future) by artist On Kawara one of the leading figures of conceptual art – a piece that addresses the passage of time and its measurement. For one hour, two readers take turns reading a single year, slowly counting from the past toward the future, enumerating the one million years that preceded the conception of the work and the one million years that followed it. All readings of One Million Years follow the same protocol devised by the artist and resume where the previous reading left off, continuing into the years ahead until all volumes have been read in full.
