In the 1960s Françoise Hardy emerged, with effervescent fashion, into the boy's club of French pop music, quickly becoming an international sensation and a national treasure. Unlike many contemporaries, Hardy was willing and able to write original material, and remained incredibly prolific up until her recent retirement.
