Reparto: A Dancefloor History of Contemporary Cuba / DJ Vago Caribe A one-hour dancefloor history of Cuban reparto: from the raw proto-repartero pulse of Elvis Manuel to Chocolate MC’s guachineo, through the viral street anthems that travelled by USB sticks, phones, YouTube links and diaspora parties, all the way to the 2026 wave led by Bebeshito, Wampi, Dany Ome & Kevincito, Melanie Santiler, Rey Tony and Helabusador.

Reparto is often described as a Cuban mutation of reggaeton, but that feels too small. It is also timba memory, barrio language, dirty drums, coded humour, social choreography and survival music. This mix follows how a local Havana sound became one of the most urgent dance languages in contemporary Cuban music.
