Rhythm (Not Rhythm) w/ Heavy Accents
The first thing that my mind typically associates with when thinking about dance music are the leftfield sounds: no wave, post-punk, punk funk, mutant disco, italo. A non-negotiable for the mix was a deep cut from Quando Quango, "Love Tempo", that gets me shuffling every time I hear it. This one's for the endless dark and sweaty club that has one foot in Downtown Manhattan and another in the Haçienda, somewhere out there in the world (real or imagined).
