Electro Acholi

Master Acholi fiddle player Ocen James - a member of the Nyege Nyege music collective based in Uganda = works with traditional acoustic instruments playing Udungu, Naga and Rigirgi music. He is also a pioneer of Acholitronix, an electronic remaking of traditional Acholi ceremonial music.

He's currently on tour with Rian Treanor, playing music from their upcoming record on Nyege Nyege Tapes. Rian Treanor has mixed an hour of his music for broadcast on NTS today.
