Record, book and ephemera dealers Perfect Lives link up with archival Eritrean cassette label, Tezez Tapes, for On The Horn.

Semir from Tezez Tapes shows off their archive in the first hour, with cassettes from 1985-’91, as mostly diasporic Eritrean artists were experimenting with synthesizers, drum machines, and other modern production techniques to recontextualise traditional melodies and songwriting. Perfect Lives step up in the secon dhour with a mix of Eritrean and Ethiopian pop music from their store selection.
