"This mix is composed of several Deck remixes and original creations from Tahitian DJs. We wanted to present Deck in its actual form but also in its different variations like Dug, Tubz, Kawash, etc… these variations were usually linked to specific dance moves like Ori Deck.

We focused mostly on DJs from the west coast of Tahiti, from F3A to Papara, for it is the presumed birthplace of Deck. At first, the valleys of Tahiti were the only places you could hear this new sound, played in 'car bass', as we call them in Polynesia, it’s only recently that Deck invaded the clubs of Papeete!

This mix aims to put Tahiti on the map."
