In a prolific era in the late 1980s and early 1990s, New Jersey Twin brothers Reginald (aka Rheji) and Ronald (aka Rhano) Burrell laid upon the early Chicago foundations of deep house with a stack of influential releases under various monikers that would come to define the sound of the iconic Nu Groove label. They channeled their eclectic influences – gospel, americana, new jack swing, hip hop and more into hypnotising dance tracks.
