Focus on Elliott Smith
Two hours of music from one of the greatest songwriters of the 1990s, Elliott Smith. Already a local hero in Portland with his "next big thing" band Heatmiser, Smith left the band to persue a solo career, taking the bleeding heart spirit of grunge into softer, more delicate territory. His talent for finger-picking guitar melodies and intimate, confessional lyrics proved to be a potent combination that earned him an army of obsessive fans.
