If you know you know. One of underground rap's most enduring heroes, Sean Price first came to prominence as Ruck in the mid-90s as part of Boot Camp Clik with partner Rock. The group never reached the mainstream success of contemporaries in the Wu Tang Clang or Mobb Deep, and the group dissolved in 2000. Price briefly returned to an unstable civilian life selling drugs and taking care of his young children.
It was under his given name Sean Price that he later returned to rap, becoming the revered figure he is today. Now slightly older, with more life experiences under his belt, his tracks featuring pull-no-punches depiction of real life in New York, delivered with his trademark laconic humour and deft wordplay became unmissable moments in underground rap.
