In recent times, the emergence of a network of projects linked to shoegaze in Latin America has become increasingly visible. This is not only part of a resurgence of the genre in various parts of the world, but also the result of intersections between diverse alternative scenes. This new generation draws from languages such as post-hardcore and post-rock, while also incorporating elements of electronic music. Although shoegaze is not the most visible genre within the alternative circuit, this Latin American wave is beginning to bring forth bands and albums with personal approaches that could mark a turning point in its regional visibility. Includes artists from Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Chile, Costa Rica, República Dominicana, Cuba, Paraguay, Colombia, México, and Perú.
