Exploring Earth Through Sound w/ Machi: Eclectic Sounds From Anywhere

Machi is an Argentine who grew up in Brazil, Colombia, Miami (US), and is now based in Paris. He's on a mission to explore music from every corner of the globe while seeing how it's shaped by the culture, history, geography, and people of the places it comes from. He hopes encouraging people to be more open-minded about music can help them be more open-minded about the world. The episodes will either explore diverse & eclectic selections of music from all around the world, or focus on one (or a few) specific scenes in particular. I'm particularly interested not just in the "typical" music of places, but on how these sounds clashed with those that spread around the world in the 20th century, like rock, jazz, disco, funk, and many more.
