Marco's Island w/ Jabari Jordan-Walker

Los Angeles, 14.09.18

Jabari Jordan-Walker is an artist and urban theorist currently based in Los Angeles. His work focuses primarily on the ecological reconciliation of the failures of the built environment. Since arriving in Los Angeles, he's been obsessed with taking Uber and discussing with drivers their feelings about where the city is headed and how much its complex traffic conditions dictate how they make a living. Focusing on land use, architecture, vernacularism, and geographic research tools, Jordan-Walker asks how to better solidify the infrastructural position of populations living in ecologically vulnerable and often forgotten regions such as America's "fly over" country and the sub-urban sprawl that characterize much of America's built landscape.
