Boleros, Guagancó, Colombian Cumbia were the sounds of my childhood. They gave me the opportunity to love hard, to feel pain from the ruptures and the failures and to celebrate the little things even in hard times. This mix is an ode to life and to my dad, Carlos, who left this earth four years ago, but is still within me in every vibrant and pungent melody.
