Juni w/ Liffey Eel
This mix was inspired by a road trip through the Skåne countryside with my partner shortly after COVID restrictions lifted. It's meant to convey the feelings of excitement, anxiety, joy and occasional exhaustion after the transition from a Dublin - under one of the most severe lockdowns in Europe - to a Sweden, completely unfettered by their COVID policy. There are the usual singing-out-the-car-window bangers, some moodier songs for when you get sick of each other after the millionth hour of driving on a hot, sticky day, and some gentle tidings for the road home. All in all I hope it conveys some sense of the catharsis and closeness being back on the road gave us and whether you're listening alone or not I hope you enjoy and feel that same closeness to whatever's around you.
