Outsider Oldies - The Dwight Twilley Band
On this episode, host Rich Tupica digs into one of his favorite bands: the Dwight Twilley Band. Starting in the mid-’70s, Twilley began writing and recording some of the best rock ‘n roll records ever produced. Hooks for days. Glorious melodies. Sincere lyrics. These records have it all. Along with his music partner Phil Seymour, the pair recorded countless pop-infused ballads, tough rockers, and some lush, mind-bending soundscapes, too. Here, you’ll hear the Dwight Twilley Band in all of its glory, and (for good measure) a few “early days” tracks from their (oddly named) precursor band: Oister. Sit back and take in this Tulsa, Oklahoma-made pop majesty.
