Roots w/ Piba Dinamita
This is a mix inspired by my childhood growing up in London as a uk Latin bby <3 ; some memories that came to mind when I was selecting the tracks.. being taken out of school for a year to tour with my dad, playing on a nokia phone in the back of a dirty club, getting bad looks from people on the tube, being casually cussed out in an accent you don't understand as you hand out fliers in Piccadilly, eating a sandwich in a greasy spoon in Camden while uk garage blares in the background, hearing cumbia for the first time at a squat in Blackhorse Road, being obsessed with the five channels we had on tv, getting my toys at Brixton market, being babysat by pub punters, eating arepas from a tupperware box at a dancehall day festival in summer 2002, watching my abuela dance on stage at a migrant party in South Bank
