Newborn
The summer of 2019 introduced me to a new kind of love. A profound love that has reshaped my world. A love that has humbled me with its force. I made this mix three summers ago, in the first days of my child's life, as a way to capture some new and very big feelings: devotion, obligation, exaltation, awe. I am indebted to musicians like these for giving us such exquisite metonyms for our emotions. And I am eternally grateful to my partner, Mary, and our love child, Dale.
