Temporal Cove w/ His Name Is Alive “Cast Your Sadness Away”
Warren Defever of the prolific 90s band His Name Is Alive joins smilegoth for this months Temporal Cove. As one of earlier acts on legendary UK label 4AD, His Name Is Alive were/are pioneers of ambiguous shoegaze/ethereal music. Defever is ambitious in his creation, producing more ambient records such as Hope Is A Candle to experimental rock projects such as the iconic 1993 album Mouth By Mouth. Their sound is undefined and carries a depth that is emotive, challenging, and simply beautiful.
