Partly inspired by recordings of Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra leader Horace Tapscott from the late 1970s, Tom Albach founded Nimbus West in 1979 - it would become home to LA's vibrant spiritual jazz scene in the late 70s and early 80s.
