WITH LOVE FROM CANADA W/ AAL

This mix is inspired by all the music I have come across since moving to Montreal from Berlin in summer 2024. I spend most of my time going to shows and engaging in local music and art scenes in the places that I live, and that is what I would say I 'know best' - learning through my personal experience and by -being- right in the middle of it all. Live music always impacts me most, it's how I've come to love music and genres of music I would've otherwise never gotten to love in the same way. I wanted to share a bit of that and what I got to know and cherish so dearly since living here - a slice of Montreal, and Canada, for the NTS listeners across the world. (This mix is by no means exhaustive or fully representative, just a personal take and selection based on my experience and taste/+mood :)). The selection includes songs by bands I have seen live here in Montreal, whether these are local, from across Canada (e.g. Toronto, Vancouver or elsewhere), or from across the border in the U.S. Music influences are so fluid and unpredictable, and seeing how these influences shift and mingle is so exciting to experience! I am so appreciative of community radio as a medium. Always a pleasure sharing a bit of music and time with anybody interested and curious and in need :)<3.
